Ethos Care Ltd provides supported accommodation for up to six young people aged 16 to 24 in each of our two homes: Montgomerie House and Hudson House. We support a mixed-gender group living arrangement, carefully planned to meet the needs, goals, and safety of each resident. Our homes are designed for care leavers and unaccompanied asylum seekers who are developing independence and no longer require the level of care provided by foster placements or children’s homes. We welcome young people who are emotionally and practically ready to take the next step toward adulthood, while still needing structured support, guidance, and a stable environment to thrive. Placements are offered only after a comprehensive referral assessment, including a risk and compatibility assessment, ensuring that new residents are appropriately matched with existing individuals in the home. We can support young people with a variety of needs, provided they are not incompatible with the safety and wellbeing of others already placed.

These may include:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • ADHD / Attention Deficit Disorder
  • Attachment Difficulties
  • Mild to Moderate Mental Health Needs
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) concerns
  • Moderate Learning Disabilities
  • Low-Level Substance Misuse
  • Self-Harming Behaviours
  • Challenging or Risk-Taking Behaviours
  • Gang Association or Criminal Exploitation History
  • Young People on Probation or Subject to Youth Offending Interventions

We also support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children aged 16 to 24 who have been placed in our care by the local authority. These young people may have experienced trauma, displacement, or exploitation and are supported with specialist pathways that include access to interpreters, legal advocacy, ESOL education, and trauma-informed care. We ensure culturally appropriate support is in place for all asylum-seeking residents. Our placement process includes a detailed compatibility assessment, carried out with the placing authority prior to any offer of accommodation.
