Our service offers a naturing support to meet the diverse needs of our young people. They can expect us to take care of all their practical, emotional and religious needs. Our committed staff members play a central role in delivering person-centered care and support, providing guidance, encouragement, and empathy throughout their stay. Our staff actively collaborate with residents to develop individual “individual pathway plans” that address their unique requirements, including areas such as education, employment, health, personal goals, relationships, cultural or religion needs and many more. Each young person will have a key worker/ staff member who will deliver agreed individual support hours each week. This can be delivered in a planned or ad hoc setting and will include things like registering for a GP, dentist, attending appointments, accessing benefits, helping them access leisure and hobby activities. We teach life skills to help them to budgets and manage their home, healthy eating, cooking skills, accessing external specialist mental health or drug and alcohol support. we support with emotional well being and encourage healthy relationships .
Our team supports young people in recognizing when they need assistance and guides them in developing the skills to manage tasks independently, while advocating on their behalf when necessary.
We also offer weekly group activities designed to build skills, confidence, and a sense of community. These include cooking nights, where young people learn to cook healthy meals together, and skill-sharing sessions, where they can exchange knowledge and learn from one another. Residents have the opportunity to choose what they would like to cook, fostering pride, collaboration, and inclusivity, regardless of cultural or religious background.
We firmly believe in the significance of a supportive and nurturing environment for young people. Our staff members actively cultivate positive relationships with residents, fostering open communication, trust, and mutual respect. By encouraging active engagement on a daily basis with regular staff, we strive to create a safe and inclusive space where young people feel comfortable discussing their concerns, seeking guidance, and forming meaningful connections with their peers and staff members. We are committed to maintaining transparency and collaboration with local authorities and other professionals. By clearly outlining the support arrangements and staff involvement, we ensure that all parties have a comprehensive understanding of our services. This clarity facilitates effective partnerships and enables local authorities to make informed decisions regarding the placement and ongoing support of young people.”
